Since 2012, illustrator Rosemary Cunningham has been exploring and drawing Glasgow’s rich built heritage with pen and paper. The Glasgow Alphabet was born through playing with the letters, names and places of Glasgow’s well known and hidden treasures. In 2014, Rosemary revisits the alphabet to create a joyful map of the city, complete with all twenty-six letters. By going to each one and talking to the people living and working within these places, the map is part illustration and part social history. It brings together Clyde built ships and underground vaults, faded Victorian grandeur, home made ice cream and a wedding in a pub. See Glasgow as you’ve never seen it before.
