The Common Guild, a homestead for so many internationally-acclaimed artists, presents German Photographer Thomas Demand. Demand’s work deals with the modern fascination for photography as a medium for ‘note-taking, diary-like practice’ in the form of large-scale photographic installations, specifically designed for The Common Guild.

4. The Art of Billy Connolly

The Big Yin returns to the People’s Palace! On this occasion he'll be known for something other than this infamous banana boots. This collection of drawings, shown alongside some rare archive material - however quaint - are clever, witty and surprisingly stylistic! Open until the Sun 21st February 2016.

3. Ripples on the Pond

‘Ripples on the Pond’, curated in association with Glasgow Women’s Library, questions the role and visibility of women artists throughout the ages. Including work by Ciara Phillips and Vanessa Bell, this collection of drawings, print and media inspires as much as it illustrates the broad extent of female creativity. Open until 3rd April 2016.

One of our favourite photography spaces, Street Level Photoworks presents fresh perpectives through the lens of some of the city’s finest contemporaries. Surface Tension brings together the photography of Lorna Macintyre, Susanne Ramsenthaler, Karen L Vaughan and Catherine Cameron, exploring differences in process, practice and ideas. 1. Ken Currie

This exhibition marks Ken Currie’s third solo show at the Glasgow Print Studio. Assimilating the techniques of etching and monotype, each work demonstrates Curries signature qualities; low, monochromatic atmospheres equalling a high, and remarkable talent. Open until 18 October 2015.
